# Standard Market

The game has a fundamental business function called the Standard Market, which allows players to trade items and resources. To access this market in season one, players must construct a specific building called The Port. The Port is also necessary for accessing markets in all Genesis seasons.

In the Standard Market, the merchant determines what items can be traded and their prices, which are updated every three days. Therefore to maximize returns, players need to coordinate their economic strategies with the merchant.
